UPDATE 3/15/15 - THE PLEDGES HAVE BEEN SENT TO LUCY.
Many thanks to all who sent in pledges for your generosity, ingenuity
and just plain neighborliness.

It's time for the ninth annual "Lucy Lawless Feel the Love Day”!
(Deadline extended 1 more week until March 15!  This bumped right into the
Xena convention so I got behind in my typing again <blush>)

We've got helping kids with sports and Scouts and in hospitals, working in food pantries,
calling elderly relatives, making peace with friends, helping neighbors and relatives, donating to
Starship, Red Cross and shelters, breast cancer, Alzheimer's and Cystic Fibrosis walks, cleaning up
neighborhoods, repairing broken plumbing and heating during this incredible winter,
signing save the Earth petitions.  Read and join in!

I thought I’d tie it in with Lucy’s upcoming episodes on WGN America’s Salem where she’s going to play
Countess Marburg, one of the last remaining survivors of a line of ancient German witches.  Along with her recent stint as
Carabosse in the play “Sleeping Beauty and Her Winter Knight,” a takeoff on Maleficent, Lucy’s been doing her best “evildoer”
imitation and we need to spread the “goodness” of Lucy!

Today kicks off a week (or more) of charitable acts and contributions by Lucy fans all over the world.  Taking our love for
all things Lucy and sharing it with those around us who are in need.  You can choose what you'd like to do, whether it is donating
money or supplies to a charity, volunteering your time or services to a charitable organization, reading to a child, or helping out a
neighbor, co-worker, or friend.  Any act of charity or kindness counts!  For folks who want to donate to Starship, here's the link. 
Feel the Love Week has always been first and foremost about celebrating the Greater Good that Xena did running around ancient
Greece and her alter ego Lucy does in our time.  Eighty percent of the pledges I receive are from people helping their family,
their friends, their neighbors, their community, their country and people around the world.  Donations to all the worthy causes are
wonderful if you can do it and are always greatly appreciated.  But sometimes what we can give is of ourselves, our time, our energy,
our hearts.  Anyone, anywhere can participate, regardless of how old (or young) you are, or where you live.  All you have to do is
decide what charitable or kind act you would like to do during "Feel the Love" day, week (or at any timeduring February) and
email it with your name and location as you would like it to appear on the pledge list.  I'll be making a page with the
pledges as they come in.  On February 28, Lucy will be presented with the pledge list of all the charitable acts being done in her
honor.  To make sure your pledge gets recorded correctly please use the following format in your e-mail:  "In honor of Lucy Lawless
Feel the Love Day, I will (insert your intended contribution), then put your name and location (city, state, country) as you want it to
appear on the pledge list."  The subject of the email should be Feel the Love Day.

Lucy’s so proud that her fans came up with this idea (special shout-out to Rebecca who first
came up with it).  It’s something she’s talked about in many interviews.

Some years are more challenging than others and September 2014 was that for me which is why “Feel the Love” is taking
place in February of 2015 instead of last September.  I appreciate your patience and understanding for the delay in
starting “Feel the Love Day.”


  FEEL THE LOVE 2014 PROJECT CONTRIBUTORS

In honor of Lucy Lawless Feel the Love Day, I will help the children of maternal school with
problems to approach to the sport, like swim, football and tennis.

I plan to say 1 rosary a day for a year just for this Feel the Love Day.  I plan to call my elderly uncle at least twice a month
just to see how he is doing.  He lives in CA and I live in MO.  He is almost 90 years old and doing great.  I also plan to make peace
with a friend.  We had a falling out about 2 months ago and so I will call her and see if we can't retrieve the beautiful friendship we
had before.  I want her to understand I still care and we never should have gotten in this mess in the first place.  We have been friends
since grade school and vicious gossip caused us to distance ourselves.  It would be nice if she would return to our little group of
friends again!

Juniors at my Archery Club.
